| After a brief, impatient google search I determined that there are not enough knitting groups in Syracuse. There's a few, but they seem to fluctuate locations, and go to swank places that I couldn't afford, and have set projects that need everyone on the same page, and that's way too strict for me. It's like a class, and you need to be studying and gathering materials before hand, and that's not relaxing. Some seem to have "dues," and stuff like that, too. And I'm po'. So that was out, too.
So there was only one thing to do. Start a knitting circle myself. This may fail spectacularly. xD I hope not.
Right now, I want to see who is interested in joining a knitting group.
Tentative meeting time: Noon on Sundays. Either weekly or bi-weekly.
Tentative meeting place: local Wegmanses, Barnes and Noble -- if they let us, other places like that.
The basic idea is to bring yarn, and needles... and knit. And have coffee. Or tea. And talk about Batman. Or whatever else happens to be on your mind. No pressure to everyone work on the same project, no formal knitting lessons, just people helping people out with questions they might have about how to knit cables... ahem... how do you knit cables?
That's it!
